Robotics and ACTE Sponsors:

Mrs. Depew and Mrs. Washington (6th Grade teachers) 

This webpage is designed for students interested in becoming a part of either the Robotics Team or participating in the Alabama Council for Technology in Education fair (second semester).  These two activities are collectively called the Technology Club.  Students may participate in one or both of these activities and this website can be used to access information for both.  Information such as meeting times, updates, and general information will be posted here.  Please click on the appropriate tab above to be directed to the correct portion of the site (either FIRST Robotics or ACTE).

About Robotics: 

Fee: $50.00

The Robotics Team regular season typically runs from August through the end of December.  Students must be able to participate in the tournament on this date in order to participate in Robotics as this will be the only competition. 

About ACTE:

Fee: $20.00

The ACTE fair is held toward the end of the school year and provides students an opportunity to showcase a technology related project that they have completed.  Students may enter the fair with a project by themselves or with a group in a number of categories including programming, robotics, multimedia, video production, etc.  Students work on these projects on their own outside of school but will have a few meetings after school.

Last year, several students entered projects and we had many students to place.  I am looking forward to many great projects this year too!
